The Window Installation Steps

As experts in local window services, we have served thousands of clients. We’ve helped them get new windows, improving their quality of life at home. This is thanks to our installation method, which we’ve spent years developing. Find out how we do it here at Renewal by Andersen® of Wyoming.

Defining the Project

Before we elaborate on our installation, we must clarify what type of window we are talking about. In this case, the installation process deals with a full-frame window. During this process, we replace the entire window, frame and glass. We offer this for windows that are damaged beyond repair, in need of energy-saving glass or for people who are changing window types.

Preparation and Removal

When we start planning for your new window, we will first discuss your options. We help you select the frame, the glass and any other additions you like. Once we have that finalized, we then get the necessary permits. After that, we start by removing the entire window. For example, we pull out a casement window by the rough opening where it is attached to your home.

Inspection and Insulation

Once we finish removing the sash and frame, we check on the rough opening. This is to find any damage that might have been missed, such as cracks or tears. If we find any, we’ll fix it, and then insulate the covers with flashing and drip caps. This is to keep it airtight.

Finishing Touches and Cleanup

Once we finish installing the new window, we perform a second inspection to make sure everything is okay. Afterwards, we will clean up the mess left behind. This way, you can relax and enjoy your windows immediately. For example, we will always double check on the installation of your double hung windows, including testing them for their operation and insulation.

Renewal by Andersen of Wyoming follows this process for all our full-frame window installations. We also offer other types of installation. To learn more about our service, call us at (307) 232-2100. We serve the areas in Cheyenne, Gillette and Douglas, WY.
